- Family Violence Prevention Fund - Focuses on domestic violence, education, prevention and public policy reform.
- Foundation Center - Although much of the resources are for subscribers only, there is a free Foundation Finder in which you can "search by name for basic information about foundations within the universe of more than 70,000 private and community foundations in the U.S." See also their Site Map. Another valuable resource is the Catalog of Nonprofit Literature, a "searchable database of the literature of philanthropy. It incorporates the unique contents of the Foundation Center's five libraries and contains more than 25,000 full bibliographic citations, of which more than 17,000 have descriptive abstracts. It is updated daily." A search for environment retrieved over 200 citations. Also provided is a list of New Acquisitions, "books, articles, and other resources recently added to the Catalog of Nonprofit Literature."

- National Center for Children in Poverty (NCCP) - Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University. Issues reports, including When Work Doesn't Pay: What Every Policymaker Should Know, June 2006. The Family Resource Simulator "is a state-specific, web-based tool that calculates family resources and expenses as earnings increase, taking public benefits into account. The FRS is available for 10 states—Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New York, and Texas—and the District of Columbia. Additional states will continue to be added."

The Social Activism Sound Recording Project: The Black Panther Party provides a chronology of the Black Panther Party accompanied by transcripts as well as video and sound clips from KPFA Radio's Pacifica Radio Archives.
